As high as kites on greenhouse gas

We're as high as kites
on greenhouse gas
but not as high as satellites
which say they see that CO2
comes from the seas,
not me and you.

And from deep
under desert land
where, in the gaps
in the buried sand,
life lives and waits,
till we understand.

That does not make
the world get hot.
When the compass flips
them to the melting pot.
then the icecaps melt
'cause that's their lot.
